PIPPA JOHNSON
Pippa was properly introduced to yoga at Theatre School in 2008 to support her dance training but she quickly became hooked on the physical and emotional support it provided to her when she needed it most. Having always had a passion for health, fitness and nutrition, she qualified as a fitness instructor which gave her greater understanding of the biomechanics of the body, a subject that continues to be of deep interest to her.
After 6 years as a yoga student, Pippa went on to complete her teacher training in 2014 and was offered teaching opportunities straight away. She is generally drawn to stronger practice styles to help the mind and body cultivate strength, grace, ease and integrity. With over 10,000 hours teaching experience between classes, private tuition, workshops, retreats and trainings, Pippa shares teaching styles from Hatha Vinyasa (to Advanced level), Yin, Rocket-Inspired and her most favoured practise of Forrest-Inspired yoga. She is also a qualified Reformer Pilates instructor since 2024 and encourages students to enjoy a variety of movement practices to support their wellbeing. All her classes are inclusive of pranayama techniques as well as her knowledge of biomechanics and other various elements of health and mindfulness.
As a proud co-founder and director of Cucumber Fields since is birth in 2020, she hopes to share the life-changing practice of Yoga with all students she comes to guide. “My journey as a teacher and as a yogi continues to blossom, I love how much I am forever learning from students, teachers, and the experiences of life - opportunity is in everything. I am grateful for it all.”
