Yoga Studio Classes
Vinyasa / Power Vinyasa
Vinyasa means "sequence". Expect a fluid practice, syncing breath with movement to steady the mind and energise the body. Improving mental focus, physical strength, agility and release of overall tension. Power Vinyasa, as the name suggests, is more dynamic for those who like desire a stronger practice.
Forrest-Inspired Yoga
Created by Ana Forrest; designed to address modern day tensions of mind and body. Expect a slower, yet stronger physical practice with a focus on breath work, core work, body alignment, and an overall sense of healing. Leave feeling grounded and strong. Excellent for all levels to develop strength, mobility, ease and mindfulness. (Also available to live stream on Zoom.)
Qi Gong Vinyasa Yoga
Qi Gong is an energy-based practice which explores slow, circular movements helping improve the flow of 'qi' (energy) through the body’s organs, meridians and cells. Complimentary to this, Yogas asana movements, place more focus on extensions of the spine, body and limbs, working to tone, lengthen and strengthen muscles. When we weave Qi Gong into a Vinyasa practice, the flow of energy (prana / qi), can be significantly increased, bringing greater feeling of health and efficiency to the body. The interwoven practice of Qi Gong and Vinyasa Yoga offers creative and mindful exploration for all levels.
Meditation & Yoga in the Orchard
When the weather permits, we pick up our mats and carry them into the embrace of The Orchard. Outdoor classes enable you to get closer to the earth, awaken your senses and tune your mind back to the present. This practice of mindfulness and ‘Meadow-tation’ will help improve your sleep, reduce any stress and anxiety and will bring natural positive vibes to your day.
*Please note, these sessions are seasonal and occasional rather than timetabled.
Mat based Pilates (Body Control)
A form of exercise focused on stability of the body and developing better movement patterns. These classes work on alignment, breathing and core strength, helping to bring full awareness to our overall natural movements, whilst allowing the session to flow rather than stop-start exercises.
Yin
A restorative practice of deep release. Expect longer holds of supported stretches infused with meditation to bring balance to the more lively styles of yoga; the Yin to the Yang. An opportunity to slow down, release tension and improve flexibility by targeting the fascia - the deep connecting tissue that runs throughout the body.
Mind & Body Yoga
The perfect blend of improving strength and flexibility through a slower, mindful flow of yoga postures. Combining this physical part of the class with breathwork and mindful meditation practices brings a deliciously calm and restful state. Perfect for all levels to acquire an all round sense of balance in mind and body.
Sunrise Yoga
For the early bird yogis to rise and get moving with an all rounded practice to start the day. A combination of breathwork and fluid movement to mobilise and energise the body, whilst awakening the mind into a calm, focused state. (Also available to live stream on Zoom.)
Monthly Meditation Circle
Exploring the current astrological activities you will be guided through various meditations and mindfulness practices, rituals and ceremonial journeys - each circle unique in its design, responding to the various moon cycles at the time. A powerful opportunity to connect with your inner world to enhance your mind-body-spirit wellbeing and be guided in a space of nourishment and loving presence.
