Pregnancy Yoga Course

6 week journey - Tuesday’s 18:15 - 20:15 (yoga practise 18:30 - 19:45): 10th January - 21st February 2023

  • Each week offers a 2 hour experience including a 75 minute practise, along with time to rest and recharge in our tranquil Pantry, gardens and terrace - all exclusive to your group.

Overview

Growing a new life is a beautiful journey but quite a demanding on the woman's body whilst having to juggle the usual busyness and stresses of life. 

During pregnancy, yoga can play a key role in enhancing the experience of this special time, whilst preparing mums-to-be for the journey of childbirth and beyond.

This course will offer a safely adapted yoga practice to nurture and support you during your pregnancy so you can:

  • Welcome with serenity the hormonal, physical, and physiological changes you are experiencing

  • Enjoy your pregnancy with minimal discomfort

  • Safely prepare your body for labour as well as facilitate your postnatal recovery

  • Cultivate breath awareness for many aspects of pregnancy, childbirth and motherhood

  • Reconnect, relax and nourish yourself

  • Strengthen the bond with your unborn baby

  • Be part of a community of mums-to-be and have the opportunity to relax, unwind and bond with fellow course attendees in our serene Pantry

Who is this course for?

This course is suitable for complete beginners or experienced students from the second trimester onwards.

About Claire…

Claire first stepped onto the path of yoga during her own pregnancy over 20 years ago, and has been curious about many styles and been taught by many teachers since then; aware that this is a path that she will remain on in the role of student as well as teacher.

Since 2017 Claire’s main trainings have been in vinyasa, pregnancy and yin yoga.

Her class styles, whatever their nature, is that of nurturing the soul, inviting you to connect inwardly as she holds a kind and loving space for you to explore your practice within.

She has been working closely with pregnant women for over ten years now, originally through her role as a reflexologist. She is happy to treat reflexology pre-conceptually as well as throughout pregnancy, and it naturally expands into her yoga teachings in more recent years. Claire believes that both yoga and reflexology can support you - both physically and emotionally - not only throughout your pregnancy but onwards into motherhood.
