Thread The Theme Workshop

Members £195
Non-Members £220

An 8hr advanced in-person workshop for yoga teachers and yoga teacher trainees.

Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November | 11:00 - 16:00

Are you teaching yoga and committed to offering the best standard of classes to your students, but currently feel like something is missing? Perhaps a little piece of magic?

Are you struggling to make a connection in your classes between the physical asana and the deeper layers of the self?

Imogen says, ‘For me, yoga is all about integration, helping students connect to all different parts of themselves so they leave a practice feeling whole. After years of teaching, one thing that comes up regularly for me is that most YTTs don’t educate teachers on how to theme their classes.’

Theming skilfully and with purpose enriches your teaching with context. This is important so that you can stay inspired as a teacher, grow your knowledge, evolve your teaching and make practices relevant for your students.

During this training, we will explore how to theme classes and creatively weave a theme throughout the entire practice. Integrating all aspects of your teaching with a theme, will enable your students to live their yoga off the mat.

Imogen's goal for this weekend is for you to leave feeling more empowered as a teacher and able to offer your students classes that feel more complete.

What this workshop will include:

  • 4 hours of training each day.

  • Expert teaching led by 1000-hour trained and Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist Imogen North.

  • An Asana Practice led by Imogen.

  • How to choose relevant themes for your classes.

  • How to layer and weave your theme throughout your class.

  • CPD points available for existing practitioners.

Practical Teaching Tools:

  • A template to map out your themes.

  • Skills to integrate your theme.

  • Group work teaching practice.

Who is this workshop for?

For teachers and teacher trainees dedicated to a higher standard of learning and looking to deepen their teaching.

This workshop will be very experiential and will focus on practical application with opportunities for discussions, group work and individual teaching practice, reflections and feedback.

Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being, but by the integration of the contraries.’
